Sol has a virus.

Monday, October 6, 2014: Sol has a lower respiratory infection caused by some kind of virus. As of this writing, we don't know which kind. Probably enterovirus. [Don't Google it. Better to remain ignorant than get the internet's version.] He's been on steroids every 2-3 hours to keep his lungs opened. We don't get to leave until it's only necessary to do these treatments every 4 hours. That won't be today, probably tomorrow.

He's in very good spirits. He's eating meat, drinking concentrated juice, and eating snacks with artificial colors and high fructose corn syrup. He also has a personal Wii and Xbox. These are all things he doesn't have at home. They just brought him a fancy Lego kit as I'm writing this email. Plus, it's actually been good father-son time. Shana can only stay for short periods of time, because Luna is home alone with an awful cold. I also forbid Shana from staying too long -- the cardiologist is Australian-cowboy gorgeous.
